Fire, is it useful? Yes, it is, but how if the fire was so huge so it has burnt your property and ‘cooked’ some of your family member? Of course, you will think the existence of fire is meaningless in this world, similar to the people of Greek.
Some people have started some fires in the Greece. 32 of suspected arson suspects have been arrested. As the fire was so big, a million euros will be given to the people who arrest the fire-starters.
It might be not as big as now in the beginning, but the condition, such as a long summer and the dry wind, have turned and have spread the inferno. As the consequences, the fire has killed at least 6o people in Greece and burnt a large amount of houses and properties. The flame has even licked some parts of the ancient Olympia, but the people and the firefighter have managed to keep it safe.
Some countries helped the Greece in this situation by sending some water-bombing aircrafts and medical kits and also helped Greece to arrest the terrorists. It is believed that the burning of the forest is because the unclearness of the law of the area in which it can’t be used for development.
Is this the world nowadays? People burnt some places just for their own sake. They do not know that the fire that they have started could lead to the serious disaster. They are very irresponsible. These acts even have added some countries busyness. Some countries must help so the fire will not rampage the Greece further.
In my other side of thoughts, the countries, such as Canada and Italy, are highly caring about the environment. They want to spend their time and money to help this case, although they know the helps might come from the other countries also.
These are also busy and do not have much free time to spend, but they know how the feeling is if this calamity is happened in their countries. They also need helps. These feelings guide them to help the Greece in this disaster.
So, in my opinion, the thought for helping people, no matter what, must be stared from our hearts. If we are forced, the helps we give is worthless.

Den!al and Despair Covers the pareNts due to the Growth of tEen druGs Abu$ers
http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/08/16/teens.substance.abuse.ap/index.html?iref=newssearch
In this article, the writer discussed about the significant growth in the number of drug abusing among the teenagers. From the survey, it is known that there is 61% of the high school students are using the drugs. This is a surprising increase, compared to year of 2002, whose percentage only 44%. In my opinion, this situation shows that the mentality of the teenagers have been broken down as the time passed.
Firstly, why do they want to use the drugs? Is that because they do not know what is the side effect of it? No! The teenagers do know that the drugs are really bad for their health. They will destroy their bodies soon, or later. But what actually make them want to try such things?
From the survey, I can conclude that most of them are taking the drugs due to the peer pressure. They may start when their best friends offer them the drugs. As they are their best friends, the person will feel very difficult to say no. If his belief that ‘drugs are unhealthy’ is not strong enough, the person will be trapped in drugs abusing.
Some of them are very popular among the students. They will mostly do not want to be called as a loser. Thus, they will accept any challenges that are given to him, even if the challenge is something very dangerous, like drugs.
And of course, the very famous cause is depression. Some students can hardly accept their achievement in the school. They always think that they are so stupid until they are stressed and depressed. When they are depressed, they can’t think well, so they just take the drugs that promised a temporary happiness, without even care about the effect.
The parents are very concerned about this thing in the beginning. But lately, the growth is even worse. The parents’ efforts are valueless. Their hopes are starting to vanish. They now don’t even know what to do, and think that the effort of the schools to make them drugs-free are pointless, just a piece of crap. They don’t know what they have to do to prevent their children from the drugs abusing. At the very end, they are in despair; lose their hope that is used to be put on their children.
So now, do you still want to take those drugs?
